Heroic Teams:
Honor Guard — founded in 1959 by the size-changing Max O'Millions, Honor Guard has become the world's preeminent alliance of heroes. Its original line-up included Starwoman, Leopardman and Kitkat, the original N-Forcer, the original Cleopatra and the Bouncing Beatnik. Other members have included Mermaid, the Living Nightmare, Mirage, the Hummingbird and Starfighter, and the last-known roster featured the Black Rapier, Samaritan, the modern Cleopatra, the current N-Forcer, MPH, Beautie and Quarrel.
The First Family — a multi-generational clan of heroic explorers. The first generation, beginning in the 1950s, was the brilliant Dr. Augustus Furst and his brother Julius, monster-hunters and adventurers into the unknown. The second generation includes Dr. Furst's adopted children Nikolai and Natalia (Nick and Natalie), the twin children of one of Dr. Furst's ex-wives and Kaspian, prince of the eastern European Beast-Men and one of the First Family's recurrent foes. The twins both manipulate an unusual form of energy. When Natalie married Rex, the powerful, dinosaur-like son of another longtime enemy, he joined the group as well. The third generation, to date, is Astra, Natalie and Rex's daughter, who is able to transform herself completely into energy.
The Astro City Irregulars — originally formed by El Hombre's former sidekick Bravo, the Irregulars are a group of young outcasts and outsider heroes, as often wanted by the law as welcomed by them. Their first roster included Umbra, Skitter, Alligator, Switchblade and Orphan. Today, the Irregulars are Juice, Ruby, Palmetto, Jailbait, El Robo and Stray.
The Crossbreed — known derogatorily as "The Jesus Freaks," the Crossbreed believe their powers come from God, and are to be used in his service. Led by the enigmatic storm-casting Noah, the Crossbreed include the leonine Daniel, the rock-shaping Peter, the winged, angelic Mary, the giant David and the sonic-powered Joshua.
